East Coast Appliances Ltd., a leading domestic appliance repair company based in Colchester, Essex, is looking for an experienced White Goods Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a skilled team, expand your technical expertise, and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality repair services for domestic appliances, including washing machines, dishwashers, tumble dryers, ovens, and refrigerators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults, source parts, and repair multi-brand domestic appliances in customers' homes.

• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clear communication and timely service.

• Maintain accurate service records, documenting repairs, parts used, and customer interactions.

• Ensure company vehicles and tools remain in top condition.

• Meet service targets and deadlines while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

• Advise customers on appliance maintenance to improve performance and longevity.

• Ensure all repairs comply with regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

• Work closely with the office team for smooth scheduling and service coordination.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a White Goods Engineer or Domestic Appliance Repair Engineer.

• Strong technical knowledge of domestic appliances and repair methods.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.

• Full UK driving licence with a clean record.

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A proactive and flexible attitude, committed to delivering high-quality service.

• Relevant certifications (City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering, Domestic Appliance Servicing, or similar) preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in fault diagnostics and safe use of repair tools/equipment.

• Gas appliance repair experience (Gas Safe registration) is a plus.
