Reporting to the Visitor Operations and Experience Manager, you'll join the Welcome Team. Your role will be varied and rewarding and the team are at the forefront of interpreting Croome's varied history and the first point of contact to share our unique history and beautiful spaces with all who visit.

Owned by the Coventry family since the 16th century, Croome has a fascinating history. Family home, A secret RAF airbase during the second world war, Catholic boys’ school and UK headquarters for Hare Krishna, the history of Croome is a rich and varied one.

What you'll be doing:You’ll have overall responsibility for the team, and their safety and working practices, working closely with the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the site and excellence in customer service.

You will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the welcome area and ensure the delivery of the highest standards of service and visitor experience, using good judgement and decision making, in line with National Trust guidelines and policies. You’ll be using your communication skills both to inspire and motivate your staff and volunteers, and to help provide the friendly face of the National Trust to thousands of visitors. You will engage with all our visitors to inspire support through membership and low-level fundraising.

Who we're looking forTo deliver this role successfully, you'll need:

• Good practical experience in visitor business, in a tourist, heritage or relevant visitor services environment
• Naturally curious about people, with an enthusiasm to and experience of delivering the highest standards of customer service
• Excellent organisational skills
• Confident leader, adaptable and responsive under pressure
• Experience in working to financial targets and motivating a team to achieve results
• Good IT skills (all MS Office)
