Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in the UK. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of DevOps principles, cloud technologies, and automation. While we are embracing a multi-cloud strategy, the majority of our customer deployments are currently on AWS. Therefore, strong AWS experience is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Design, build, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Implement IaC using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
Security & Compliance:
Implement security best practices and manage security tools.
Ensure compliance across platforms.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and analyze performance, identifying bottlenecks.
Implement optimization strategies for high availability and scalability.
Optimize resource utilization and costs.
Incident Management:
Respond to and resolve incidents efficiently.
Collaborate to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
Automation:
Embrace automation to streamline tasks and processes.
Focus on automating repetitive tasks for efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with other teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
Document processes clearly for knowledge sharing.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date on cloud technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Some experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation, with a strong emphasis on AWS.
Must have extensive experience with AWS services and tools.
Experience with GCP and Azure services is a plus.
Experience with container technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes is desired, though not required.
Experience with IaC tools, such as CloudFormation and Terraform, and experience with managing multi-cloud deployments.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Grafana, across multiple cloud platforms.
Desired experience with Serverless objects, as we have many automations running on Serverless technologies like AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB and AWS Amplify.
Excellent scripting and automation skills, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements across multiple cloud platforms.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for learning new technologies and solving complex problems.
Must be residing in the UK for the last 3 years because NPPV3 vetting is required for this position (Non Police Personnel Vetting) in order to assist our Police customers.
