Veterinary Neurology Internship

Description:

Eastcott Veterinary Referrals is offering a one-year Veterinary Neurology Internship for candidates looking to advance their careers in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. The program is designed to enhance clinical expertise and position candidates strongly for future residency applications.

Interns will work alongside a team of senior neurologists, including three ECVN Diplomates, two dedicated neurology nurses, and a patient care assistant. Responsibilities include case management, assisting with procedures, and conducting research for publication. Interns will also participate in rounds, teaching seminars, and journal clubs, with access to Linnaeus-wide CPD training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Assist the senior neurology team in case management and diagnostics.
✔ Take primary responsibility for referred cases under supervision.
✔ Participate in neurology rounds, teaching seminars, and research projects.
✔ Gain hands-on experience with MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, EEG, BAER, EMG, and in-house 3D printing.
✔ Support the flow of neurology cases and contribute to clinical publications.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

🎯 Must have completed a 12-month rotating internship before applying.
🎯 Eligibility to work in the UK and membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
🎯 Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
