Description:
We are recruiting for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead, mentor and manage the 5 Vet team at a small animal practice with high exotics caseload in Leicester area of east Midlands.
- Excellent full time permanent opportunity.
- 40 hours a week including weekend rota and no OOH.
- practice is modern and spacious with state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, and ultrasound and multi parameter and exotic equipment on site
- varied small animal caseload with a high number of exotics.
- ideal role for a vet ready to take the next step or Head Vet wanting a new challenge or more experience.
- role requires you to manage a team of 5 vets - supporting the vets clinically and managing the team in the daily running of the practice
- An interest in orthopaedics or Exotics would be advantageous, but not essential
- Great location, walk to train, close to M1 motorway with free parking and only 40 minutes from East Midlands and Birmingham Airports
Person Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
- Registered with the RCVS
- stong small animal surgical and medical skills
- People management experience is advantageous.
- interest in orthopaedics or Exotics would be advantageous, but not essential
