User Experience Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking for a User Experience Engineer to join our IT team in our Leavesden office.
You’ll:

  • Design the user interfaces for digital products. They consider the user's needs and goals when designing the interface, and they use user experience design principles to create interfaces that are both easy to use and visually appealing.
  • Responsible for building, testing, transitioning to support and improving the user interfaces of solutions provided across the applications developed on the power platform and associated digital product areas.
  • Collaborate with product manager, product stream leads, Low Code developers, Citizen developers, Data Analytics Engineers, Data analysts, Solution Architects and other stakeholders to understand their needs and to develop and implement reusable patterns, designs, front end tools and user experience solutions.
  • They work with the product managers to understand the business goals of the product and to ensure that the user experience meets those goals
  • Conduct user research and testing to understand user needs and to evaluate the usability of the products.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest user experience design trends and technologies
  • Assist the Product Stream Lead Low Code and other stakeholders (Architects, Data Product Team) to maintain a vision, roadmap and build investment proposals for the extension of the User Experience Services within the Digital Platform


We’re looking for:

  • Highly-developed communication skills. Skilled in communication with a wide stakeholder community at all levels in the global business.
  • Highly business\customer focused, track record of delivering solutions for business users.
  • Expertise in Power Apps\Power Platform UI design ideally with knowledge of other UI\UX solutions e.g. Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, with a basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills being a plus.
  • Ability to work across a large set of applications, working with multiple business areas to help business answer complex and ambiguous UI\UX questions.
  • Strong design knowledge with experience of template, pattern, re-use methods of successful UX designs.
  • A keen learning desire for UX improvements and ability enablement and adoption
  • Ability to work in an agile environment, to multi-task, and deliver to deadlines in an Agile Scrum environment
