Uk Business Development Manager

 

Description:

We are searching for a proactive and dynamic UK Business Development Manager who possesses an intricate understanding of the 3PL sector, able to accelerate growth initiatives for the UK&I.

 

Given our customers operating model and client base, candidates with Business Development experience in Freight, in particular Sea Freight would also be considered.

 

Your role will be pivotal in formulating and executing strategic plans to secure and retain clients, bolster revenue streams, and establish further dominance in the space.

 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies focused on driving business growth.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams to tailor innovative logistics solutions aligned with client requirements.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis, assess competitor landscapes, and integrate customer feedback to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and negotiate contracts effectively to secure new business ventures.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and conferences to elevate brand presence.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Have a Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain background within a Business Development, Sales or Commercial capacity - Essential.
  • Proven track record in 3PL Warehouse Contract Logistics sales with a minimum of 5+ year’s experience – Advantageous.
  • Proven Sales expereince within 3PL Transport or Freight (Preferably Sea Freight) would also be considered – Advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills – Essential.
  • Strategic mindset coupled with a strong business acumen, pivotal in driving revenue growth – Essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities - Essential.
  • Commutable across the UK, with a specific focus across the South region - Essential.
  • During your first 3-6 months of induction, our client requires the successful candidate to be in Head Office (Basingstoke) for c. 2 x days per week - Essential.
