- Scientific Expertise: A degree in a relevant scientific or technical field, with a strong interest in technology transfer and intellectual property.
- Analytical Skills: Attention to detail and methodical approach required to perform thorough prior art searches, market evaluations, and data analysis.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with researchers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Organisational Skills: Strong time management and multitasking abilities to meet tight deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving issues, including potential conflicts of interest and negotiation challenges.
- Customer Focus: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to new and changing requirements within a dynamic work environment.
- IT Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
Nice to have:
- PhD in a relevant scientific field, particularly cancer research.
- Experience in technology transfer, patenting, or licensing processes.
- Knowledge of the patenting process and other aspects of intellectual property management.
- Experience in contract negotiation and management.
- An understanding of how AI tools can enhance efficiency.
