Trade Counter Sales Executive

 

Description:


We are looking for a Trade Counter Sales Executive to help us expand our client base. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is organized, has strong communication skills, is comfortable with technology and loves speaking with new people. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing your customer portfolio, with a keen focus on account management, to capitalise on customer relationships, follow-up leads, and maximise the potential for growth of the Hydraquip business.

In addition, you will assist on our Trade Counter with a hands-on approach, working closely with the Branch Manager and in day-to-day depot operations. You will be serving both new and existing customers from our thriving trade counter, delivering excellent service and driving sales where possible. You will be using our computer system to locate stock & process customer orders and provide timely and accurate pricing.

You Will Also Be Responsible For
 

  • Developing a key account management concept for relevant customers and ensure that they are contacted regularly
  • Assisting with maintenance and further development of the sales and marketing plan to develop the customer base
  • Managing the region-wide lead generation process with mobile engineers
  • Planning and organise daily to ensure that all calls are correctly logged, and ready for a follow-up, and a weekly sales plan with priorities, goals, and achievements can be formulated
  • Building a pipeline of opportunities for new business, negotiate and close those sales opportunities to ensure sales targets are met
  • Ensuring customer feedback is sought and captured on a timely basis
  • Managing any customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Complete local deliveries in the company van.
  • Manufacture hose assemblies to customer specification.
  • Promote additional products and services to customers.
  • Allocate jobs to Service Engineers & provide progress reports to customers.
  • Have control of associated paperwork; and
  • Carry out general duties in the warehouse

You will need a hands-on, customer focused approach and be confident and happy to support the team where required counter and proactively engage with colleagues and other departments within the business.

You Must Also Have
 

  • Proven work experience in an internal sales role
  • Ability to juggle several activities, with meticulous organisation skills
  • A team player that can help motivate and inspire work colleagues to deliver the same standards and instil a desire to achieve Company objectives.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients; excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with CRM platforms is a plus but not required.
