Technology Program Manager

 

Description:

The role is based in London City, working a hybrid model of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. You will be in the office more when you join while you get to know and understand the business.

 

Reporting to the Head of Business Technology, this role is responsible for ensuring the Technology change portfolio is aligned with business strategy as well as the oversight of the delivery lifecycle.

 

Working with a team of Technologists and key stakeholders, you will be there to ensure up to date and relevant Management Information is available with regards the performance of the delivery lifecycle, including the quality of project mandates, acceptance criteria, risk tracking and scheduling.

As the Technology PMO, you will be a key contact point for the CTO, Head of Business Technology and Business Change Stakeholders with regards the planning and status of the Technology book of work.

As a new function within Technology, you will have the opportunity to shape much of this from when you start and moving forwards.

 

You will also:

 

  • Ensure the Technology change portfolio is aligned with Business objectives and that Projects are defined, with clear acceptance criteria and timelines
  • Oversee the Governance of the Technology Change Portfolio and ensure Coordination of the change portfolio checkpoint meetings and ongoing reporting
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement within the Delivery Lifecycle
  • Ensure Management Information is available for stakeholders to demonstrate the alignment of deliverables against strategy, milestones and risks
  • Define relevant KPIs that can offer real value to Technology Management
  • Ensure consistency across the Technology Change framework in defining, tracking and managing deliverables and Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements
  • Be a Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

 

Essential Skills and Experience Needed:

 

  • Previous experience in a PMO within a Financial Services environment
  • Knowledge of JIRA (Atlassian) and different tooling within that product
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodology and its application within Technology
  • Self starter, with ability to analyse complex situations and define approach
  • Stakeholder management and business analysis.
  • Delivery focussed, displaying entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
  • Formal training in PMO specialism, such as P30, PMO Administration or Managing Successful Programs (MSP).
  • PowerBI is the preferred tool of use for this role so experience in PowerBI is a massive advantage.
