Technical Manager

 

Description:

Element has an opportunity for a Technical Manager. In this role you will be a member of the operational leadership team reporting to the General Manager and perform a variety of leadership responsibilities within the department to insure timely and accurate test results are delivered. All Operational Leadership positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
 

  • Working to ensure necessary accreditations are maintained - Audit preparation and participation
  • Specification and procedure reviews
  • Preparing and approving technical reports
  • Developing technologies to support the laboratory's growth
  • Customer interaction - Lead technical discussions when required
  • Prepare reports for senior management if required
  • Providing technical support during the quotation process
  • Responsible for the upkeep of training/competence records
  • Ensure compliance with Element internal procedures and QMS
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the General Manager
     

Skills / Qualifications
 

  • MSC in a related field would be advantageous
  • Experience working in an 17025 and Nadcap accredited laboratory is essential
  • Experience with managing a team
