Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Designer to play a key role in our growing portfolio, managing projects from the early development stages through to completion. The role emphasizes technical design, project delivery, and project management. You will collaborate closely with our design, pre-construction, and construction teams, as well as external consultants, to ensure projects are documented to the highest standards, comply with building regulations, and are successfully delivered.
A broader architectural background and experience leading medium to large-scale projects would be highly advantageous.
This is a full-time position based at our London office, with on-site work as required. After the probation period, the role offers the flexibility of one day working from home per week. The design team includes two interior designers, a junior designer, and a senior technical designer, all reporting to the Design Director. In this role, you will also report directly to the Design Director.

- Review design submittals from external consultants and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with design standards, statutory regulations, and the employer’s requirements.
- Provide quality control to ensure all technical aspects of the project meet the company's high standards for quality and craftsmanship.
- Work alongside designers and project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope, addressing any technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Lead the design and delivery of projects requiring advanced architectural expertise, such as façade design and comprehensive building assessments. Manage design intent while ensuring seamless integration with broader architectural and structural elements.
- Take a leadership role in the fit-out of complex projects, providing expert guidance and resolving technical and architectural challenges.
- Facilitate design coordination meetings with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants, to ensure alignment and seamless integration of all project components.
