Each year, D Young & Co looks for candidates who want to train to become qualified patent attorneys.

The successful candidates join them as technical assistants to begin their training working alongside highly acclaimed colleagues in one of the leading teams in Europe. As a patent attorney, you will need to be able to combine legal expertise, technological skill, and commercial focus to help their clients achieve their goals.

You will work with national and international clients across a wide range of industries and spanning many sectors.

What you will need

• An exceptional academic track record in biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, electronics, engineering, physics or computer science.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the desire and ability to share ideas and expertise, working both in a team as well as autonomously.
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work under time pressure to tight deadlines.
