Team Leader Gardener

Description:

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Team Leader to join and lead our busy maintenance team. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to organise their team, whilst prioritising the changing demands of our gardens. A strong knowledge of garden maintenance should include, but is not exhaustive to:

· Relevant Health & Safety knowledge and responsibilities

· Strong communication skills

· Organisational skills, team leadership & garden priorities

· Strong work ethic with good attention to detail

· Adaptable to seasonal or weather conditions

· Good plant knowledge

· Lawn mowing

· Strimming

· Hedge cutting

· Herbicide application PA1 & PA6

· Pruning

Qualifications

· Prior experience in garden maintenance if no formal qualifications

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong plant knowledge and good horticultural best practice

· Ability to work with and lead a team or work independently

· Must be physically fit

· Full clean driving licence

· Trailer licence – although not essential

· Strong working knowledge of petrol-powered machinery

· Mechanical interest

· PA1 & PA6
