Teaching Associate

Description:

The Department of Engineering's Teaching Office is based at the Department's site in Central Cambridge and provides support to the Engineering undergraduate program run by the Department which leads to the MEng degree.

The Department wishes to appoint a Teaching Associate in Computing. The role is intended to support the wide range of computing related teaching in the Department. The role-holder will deliver computing teaching primarily in the first two years of the course using Python and microPython with some support provided to more advanced courses which employ a range of languages, this will also involve directing the activities of Teaching Assistants and demonstrators. The role holder will also develop relevant teaching material and participate in course development related to computing, particularly in the first two years of the course. Some involvement in setting and marking of examinations will be expected as well as engagement in continuing professional development.

You will either hold a PhD in a related area or possess equivalent demonstrable experience and/or a teaching qualification.
