Description:
As a Trainer you will you will deliver training to the Royal Navy Service Personnel on how to use the Damage Surveillance and Control Incident Board and how to become a Damage Control Officer's Assistant.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out training for Damage Surveillance and Control (DSAC) Operator and Damage Control Officer's Assistant (DCOA) as part of the Royal Navy Command and Control Training Team.
- Delivering Training on a computerised systems on how to operate the DSAC system which is installed on both of the Royal Navy's Aircraft Carriers
- Identifying, locating and marking Incidents from Fires, Floods to chemical Attacks whilst in a classroom environment.
- Providing additional cover for the Ships Control Centre simulators, co-ordinating and preparing training during command and control and ships team training
- Undertaking wider delivery and support tasks as deemed appropriate by the Training Delivery Manager
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
- Must be able to achieve - SC Security Clearance and Enhanced DBS Check
- Experience in the Maritime Sector (Military/Civilian) would be advantageous
- Teaching/Training experience would be desirable
- Any knowledge of ships damage control systems would be highly advantageous
