Copello are now recruiting for a System Engineer to join a Defence Services company based in Fareham.
Working alongside a team of experienced System Engineers you will be responsible for ensuring the current and future design of their equipment is fit for purpose to meet the requirements of their contract.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Producing engineering artefacts in a timely manner to ensure an effective hand over to the Engineering team.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the requirements and compliance matrices in DOORS; defining requirements for future asset provision and ensuring changes are baselined and managed.
- Providing documented assurance that the solutions being delivered are fit for purpose in all regards; including being safe, secure, resilient, achieve through-life cost effectiveness, compliant to regulations and legislation and meets customer requirements.
- Providing support to the bid change process which will include an impact assessment to ensure the integrity of the service portfolio.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Hold an Engineering Degree or similar and previous System Engineering experience.
- Have experience and/or knowledge of highly regulated/safety-related environments.
- Have relevant experience of high-integrity real-time systems within large scale, multi-disciplined projects, and practical experience of systems engineering testing and integration.
- Have experience with requirements management and tools, preferably IBM Rational DOORS.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex matters to other technical and non-technical audiences.
