Supply Chain Operations Manager

Description:

We believe that a hybrid, flexible working approach offers you – and your colleagues – the best of both worlds. Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you’ll work from our head office three days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm. Beyond that, how, when and where you work is up to you. With a subsidised canteen, free parking and a comfortable, relaxed environment, we’ve worked hard to build an office you’ll want to work in. We also know that, when it comes to school pick-ups and home deliveries, it’s nice to have the flexibility to do both.

Key responsibilities

  • Leadership: Directly accountable for all aspects of central supply chain operations, leading a large team responsible for outbound event planning, continuous improvement, SC systems, and direct import planning.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Director of Supply Chain to set future strategic objectives and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Retail, Commercial, Screwfix & KF Group logistics, and our 3PL.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate across the business, including with senior colleagues and board directors.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Use financial forecasts and other metrics to plan outbound volume & cube to our Trade Counters, ensuring high store service levels while managing costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Commercial Planning function to support key trading events, seasonality, range changes, and promotional activity.
  • Operational Excellence: Partner with SC, Commercial, and Logistics teams to anticipate future space requirements, support international expansion, and optimize inventory flow.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the development and governance of supply chain systems, ensuring they deliver optimal outcomes for the customer and business.
