Description:
Join Balfour Beatty as a Supply Chain Manager for the Regional Civils Business Unit and take on the challenge of managing supply chain operations for high-profile infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies to support business growth, identifying new suppliers, and ensuring efficient capacity management. This is a senior role within the organization, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership in supply chain initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Supply Chain Management Strategy for the Regional Civils business.
- Proactively manage supply chain demand and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure sustainable capacity.
- Work with stakeholders to manage a procurement model based on allocation.
- Develop and execute Strategic Supply Chain Programmes for the civils business, supporting key trades.
- Ensure continuous improvement in supplier performance, developing corrective action plans and tracking progress.
- Collaborate with Group Category Management to align supply chain strategies across business units.
- Oversee supplier relationships, resolving issues and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Provide leadership and support to Supply Chain Leads, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
- Work on sustainability initiatives and support diversity and inclusion programmes within supply chain management.
Who We're Looking For:
- A relevant business degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A proven track record in senior-level Supply Chain Management.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to manage large-scale supply chain operations.
- Experience in project management and delivering supply chain strategies within collaborative procurement programmes.
- Ability to manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain improvements.
