Based at the National Distribution site, this is an exciting and perfect opportunity for an ambitious and passionate Supply Chain professional to develop their career in supply chain operations. You will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. You will be working with a wide range of customers from Boots to John Lewis, and have responsibilities for their Ecommerce website. You will be responsible for continually improving the performance and efficiency of our ecommerce and customer orders ensuring we are providing the best practise for all parties involved; Internal Head Office departments, UK Distribution and ultimately the consumer/customer.
Responsibilities
- To use, maintain, manage, and update customer specific EDI systems or online portals when required
- Supporting the sales team in managing and optimising customer relationships
- Regularly attend Key Customer meetings, to build better relationships and maintain a clear understanding of their business needs and in-house systems
- Work to reconcile Customer FC’s against buying patterns, building, and presenting mark down figures, checking in store weekly cover and establishing data to assist with fair share allocations
- Create and maintain customer reports for National Account Managers and Senior Management at peak trading times, including Sale items, promotional ordering patterns and Christmas order intake against forecasted intake
- Escalation point for the Supply Chain Administrator for Fraud management and screening (Cyber Source), ensuring that agreed rules are followed and documentation is updated to reflect new agreed fraud rules including acting as the Paypal contact
- Manage Digital statistics by recording value of daily order intake and issuing intake reports to the business weekly
- Forecast and communicate spikes in ordering patterns with UK Distribution and the Supply Chain Manager. Advise and work closely with the Digital on team of delivery options available on the website
- When problems occur, to work on a controlled manner, take corrective action to get orders back on track and keep in regular communication with all parties concerned
- Act as the point of contact and handle internal and external customer needs
- Be responsible for creating and updating procedures within the team and suppliers
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about the status of shipments to all areas of the business and end customers
- Identifying issues and thinking on your feet to reduce impact to our end to end operation and more importantly our customers and consumers
- Measuring, analysing and reporting on Warehouse performance
- Working closely with Supply & Demand Planners, Digital/Marketing Team regarding Exclusive Launches, Promotional Plans, Sales Items, Black Friday, Christmas plans and E-Tailers activities
- Monitoring the current outstanding order book, ensuring that orders are despatched within the KPI’s by creating a plan and liaising with the warehouse
- Liaise with Supply & Demand Planners about stock levels, out of stocks and code changes. Manage code changes with the customers and for the website
- Forecast and communicate spikes in ordering patterns with UK Distribution and the Supply Chain Manager
- To provide a high level of service to both Internal and External customers
- Participate specified Taskforces or project groups to deliver the UK business strategies
Qualifications/Certifications Required
- Minimum of 1 year in the industry or similar setting with end-to-end supply chain understanding
- Excellent Microsoft skills including excel and word
- Highly organized and strong time management with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact in a cross functional environment with all teams, areas, and levels of the business
- Ability to analyze data and focus on the important
- Spotting patterns and linking events to establish root cause and solutions
- Ability to work to tight deadlines by planning, liaising, and managing projects
