Studentships Financial Accountant

Description:

An exciting opportunity for a Studentships Financial Accountant, working closely alongside the Studentships Management Accountant in a dynamic team.

Your primary focus will be to streamline financial processes, ensuring timely completion of key tasks while maintaining accurate funding disbursements for postgraduate research students (PGRs).

You will ensure timely receipt of funds from external bodies through invoicing or cash allocation according to payment schedules/contracts and maintain precise records on the Finance system (Agresso), detailing all studentship funding transactions at an individual student level. Record and manage data on research council grant usage, filing expenditure statements with UKRI as necessary.

You will undertake reconciliations on balance sheet accounts associated with studentships to ensure accuracy and provide detailed and timely reports to grant holders and faculty finance managers to aid in active grant management, budgeting, and forecasting.

You will work in tandem with the Studentships Management Accountant to uphold service standards for PGR students, the Doctoral College, and faculties.
