What You’ll Do At Elekta
Your role will include (but not limited to)
- Coordinate global demand forecasts and supply planning to ensure they are in sync.
- Analyze trends, sales data, spares data, and production capabilities to accurately predict and address future supply needs.
- Inventory Management: Design and enforce inventory policies aimed at reducing excess stock and minimizing stockouts. Continuously monitor inventory performance metrics and implement corrective actions as required.
- Support the team in managing planning parameters, such as safety stocks and minimum order quantities (MoQ), and in applying effective forecasting methods.
- Facilitate demand meetings with internal Elekta customers, acting as the primary escalation point for service, production, and commercial internal stakeholders.
- Lead and support team members through engineering change processes to ensure efficient transitions to new part numbers, thereby reducing obsolescence.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy and serve as a mentor to other team members.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain optimal inventory levels across various supply chain stages, aiming to achieve high customer satisfaction while mitigating inventory risks.
- Escalate issues appropriately within Elekta’s supply chain to ensure resources are adequately allocated to minimize delays.
- Lead recovery planning efforts in instances of deviation from planned outcomes.
- Foster team skill development through training and personalized development plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate supply chain performance, challenges, and opportunities effectively to all relevant parties.
- Act as the primary escalation point for any strategic planning-related issues.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining service levels.
- Prepare and manage the supply planning budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support strategic planning.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across supply planning activities.
- Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the supply planning team.

- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in working in supply chain-related roles.
- Knowledge & understanding of materials requirement planning.
- Highly analytical with high problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and effectively communicate on all levels both internal and external.
- Commitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge.
- Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Interested and passionate about supply chain management Knowledge:
- Understanding of inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices.
- Familiarity with demand forecasting techniques.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or a related role.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Operational Research, Business, Economics, Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with desire to learn scripting languages for data analysis and data visualization.
