My client, a retailer specialising in fitness equipment and accessories, is seeking a Store Manager for their new Birmingham showroom. As a key member of the UK Retail Management team, you will oversee daily store operations and lead the Retail Sales Team to achieve and exceed sales targets. The role demands a dynamic and motivating individual who will ensure an exceptional customer experience while driving the team towards success.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflows in collaboration with the Retail Management Team.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to exceed sales and profitability goals.
- Foster an outstanding customer journey and maintain a positive in-store experience.
- Proactively market and generate new business locally.
- Adapt store layout to meet seasonal demands and shop development needs.
- Manage footfall activities, including product demonstrations and price promotions.
- Plan and manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
- Set and achieve KPIs for the team and store performance related to sales and profitability.
- Ensure stock levels are optimal and perform regular stock takes.
- Provide timely reports to management (weekly, monthly, and daily updates).
- Uphold health and safety standards for customers, visitors, and colleagues.
- Improve consumer review metrics and contribute to Retail and SMTC meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Strong composure, confidence, and enthusiasm.
- A dynamic, motivating, and influential retail leader.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, VOIP telephone system, and PC-based back office systems.
- Highly self-motivated with initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in developing and enhancing processes.
- Strong people management skills, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
