The IVSC is a not-for-profit organisation at the forefront of advancing International Valuation Standards to ensure quality and consistency in the valuation profession worldwide. In today's interconnected financial markets, we underscore the need for consistent application and adherence to globally recognised standards for valuing all assets and liabilities. Our mission is to reinforce financial stability, promote informed business and investment decisions, and protect the public interest by enhancing transparency and uniformity in valuation standards. With support from a diverse network of stakeholders —including Valuation Professional Organisations, regulators, valuation firms, academic institutions, and end-users— we drive the development and adoption of these standards by leveraging the expertise of volunteer professionals from across the globe.

Vacancies Available:

We are looking for influential thought leaders to join our expert boards in the following capacities:

• Business Valuation Board: Seeking two individuals with extensive Business Valuation and Intangible Asset experience, and a solid grasp of ESG issues. Preference will be given to qualified end users of valuations, or valuers from regions such as China, Africa, or Latin America. Expert knowledge in the valuation of startups, complex capital structures, and infrastructure is particularly desired.

• Tangible Assets Board: Two positions are open for professionals with profound Tangible Asset expertise and ideally, an understanding of ESG issues. We especially welcome those with commercial real estate experience in developed markets, or from a South East Asian perspective.

• Financial Instruments Board: We aim to appoint two individuals with in-depth Financial Instruments knowledge and, ideally, an awareness of ESG considerations. We welcome applicants from academic circles, valuation service providers, asset management, banking, private equity/hedge funds, insurance, regulatory bodies, or Valuation Professional Organisations.

Role and Engagement:

Board members are instrumental in influencing and upholding the standards critical to valuations worldwide. While most board activities are conducted virtually, there are in-person meetings held throughout the year. These gatherings are key opportunities for members to collaborate directly and progress the standard-setting agenda.
