As an in-service inspection specialist, you will be responsible to the project managers for ensuring that the challenges and objectives of the project are properly taken into account in the definition, monitoring or carrying out of studies with a view to meeting commitments and results.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious nuclear company, joining the project at an early stage and actively contributing to the design of the next generation of nuclear reactors.

 

Reporting to our Head of Unit, the key duties of the role include:

  • Define, develop and qualify non-destructive testing methods for the in-service inspection of LFR components, structures and systems.
  • Specify, design and develop sensors (ultrasound, eddy current, optics, etc.) for in-situ (at high temperature and under irradiation) and ex-situ remote inspection of LFR components, structures and systems
  • Collect input data from the interface units (safety, mechanical design, materials, etc.).
  • Define objectives and requirements to ensure in-service inspectability and repairability of components.
  • Plan, coordinate and evaluate the studies or subcontracting that will be necessary for your perimeter and integrate it harmoniously into a larger scope.
  • Participate in the standardization of in-service inspection methods for Generation 4 reactors, and in particular for LFRs.
