A Senior Software Development Engineer in Test role has arisen at a leading, Cambridge-based R&D company who are developing cutting-edge ultra safe data communication hardware and software technology. This fantastic role will see you grab hold of the software development for test, shaping test tools, processes, and procedures to help in the development of beautiful code.

You will be looking for a role which offers variety, and excited about the challenge of developing brand new software development test tools and solutions. You will need to be a skilled software engineer with strong Python skills working in an embedded Linux systems environment. Ideally knowledge of C++ as well.

Requirements for the Senior Software Test Engineer role:

• 2.1 or above degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or closely related subject
• Recent and relevant experience of software development for test, including designing and building software test tools and systems for embedded Linux products
• Excellent Python skills
• C++ knowledge beneficial
• Good understanding of networking hardware and security i.e. protocol stacks, TCP/IP, UDP, firewalls, switches, DHCP, etc.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• A desire to push for continuous improvement and deliver quality software.
