Software Engineer I

Software Engineer Level 1 is an entry-level role which will interact with developers from across the regional supply chains group and the wider Media Supply Chain organisation. WBD has numerous systems from its legacy businesses which perform similar functions including the ingest, localisation and distribution of our world class content to multiple destinations including Max. Over time many of these systems will converge simplifying and streamlining our processes allowing our world class content to be more accessible to our operational partners.

Your Role Accountabilities…

• Learning the International ESB code base and improving your coding skills

• Writing and maintaining code and working on minor bug fixes

• Monitoring the technical performance of WBD internal systems and flagging areas for improvement

• Responding to requests from the regional development teams

• Conducting development tests

• Attending and contributing in design meetings and code reviews

• Producing documentation throughout the development lifecycle

Qualifications & Experience…

• Computer Science Degree or similar.

• Minimum of one year’s technical experience in a media organisation

• Understanding of Python, Perl, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• Understanding of video and audio codecs

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems including patching

• Knowledge of AWS services
