Software Developer Apprentice

Description:

Helping our senior software developers with our software application is the primary focus, however, there will also be a requirement to assist with our customers Microsoft 365 power platform solutions. Using these tools to improve and innovate our client’s business processes as well as using Power BI to improve reporting and help customer drill down to the right information.

We are a small team so from time to time there may be a requirement to assist our helpdesk with overflow calls covering during busy periods and maybe get you hands dirty with some on site installation work.

It’s a varied role and one you can make your own.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

• Help senior developer.
• Testing Systems, Bug fixes.
• System design and innovation.
• Help customers with Power Platform, Power BI and Microsoft 365.
• Handle overflow calls.
• Carry out site installation work occasionally.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

The below are nice to have, but a passion for software development is our main criteria:

• Experience in ASP.net Core web development.
• Full stack development.
• C#.
• Front end knowledge of jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Razor pages.
• .NET core framework.
• Strong OOP knowledge.

Experience with:

• Dependency Injection.
• Entity framework Core.
• MySQL, MariaDB.
• OAuth, JWT, OpenID.
• API Rest Client development.
• Familiarity with Git.
