Our new Marketing Centre of Excellence (CoE) has been formed with the aim of building outstanding capabilities across key marketing subject areas, from planning through to constantly evolving digital marketing channels! It changes the emphasis of what we do from product to customer and capability, with the ambition of delivering on our One Aviva strategy. The Marketing CoE sits alongside similar Data and Digital CoEs, supporting our Go to Market (GTM) teams as they translate business objectives into practical customer centric campaigns, communications and experiences.
The Marketing CoE is made up of 5 specialist teams - Marketing Strategy, Reporting and Planning; CRM, Content and Creative; Digital Marketing and Media; Customer Insight and Research; the team will lead on all marketing activity.

A bit about the job:
As the Social Media Lead, you will lead the development of our consumer cross-channel social media strategy, partnering with social platforms to drive a step change in our approach at Aviva – identifying new channel opportunities, capabilities, and platforms we should be actively pursuing.
Key to the role is having demonstrable experience building social media communities across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, as well as relevant content planning and creation experience - using in-house content production capabilities, working with creators and influencers to tap into new audiences to deliver growth.
As this is a highly visible role, experience showcasing performance insights and results to wider business stakeholders to drive growth and buy-in to further develop social programs is essential. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all paid and organic campaigns, content planning and production, ensuring we’re driving business growth (sales and engagement) across core products and propositions, with a clear position on what belongs on our social channels vs. not.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Proven experience leading social media and community programs, leading teams, and working across multiple platforms to deliver evidenced business growth
Experience in managing innovation through creative solutions, platforms and capabilities within established organisations, with the ability to articulate business benefits
Experience using 1st party data, audience development and targeting capabilities, and creative format testing to drive results
Ability to partner with Media and Digital Marketing colleagues, creative and media agencies to develop a holistic approach to marketing programs and campaigns that support cross-channel experiences
Experience in creating and driving content creator campaigns that align with business objectives
