Description:

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our Global Service team at Gwynt Mor Offshore Windfarm, where you will be based onshore at the O&M Facility, in Mostyn, Wales.

This is a varied role where every single day will be different and will pose an interesting challenge. You will be expected to set objectives and deliver against agreed results that have a direct impact on the delivery of the overall Service and Maintenance contract at the wind farm. You will be a safety leader and will ensure we live and deliver on our Zero Harm policy and commitments to keep our people safe whilst minimising the environmental impact of our operations.

You will be expected to liaise closely with the: Operational organisation, Customer site representatives, Service Technology organisation, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) teams, Material Flow and Logistic teams, Procurement teams, Sub-Contractors, Back-office planners, Maritime Assistance Service team, Quality Management team and Operations-Support.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to
 

  • Deliver a site Zero Harm plan, in compliance with standards, regulations, laws, quality and EHS guidelines
  • Represents the site in all decision-making committees of the project (towards own management, customer, and team)
  • Line Manager for offshore technicians, as defined in the site structure. Responsible for hiring & retention, development, and performance management
  • Deliver consistent and excellent operational performance in line with operational Key Performance Indicator (KPI)s & contractual obligations, reporting to the Operations Manager
  • Ensure a robust and accurate maintenance plan and forecast is updated on a weekly basis in cooperation with Resource Management and Planning
  • Responsible for the end-to-end operational process at site and ensuring that the necessary resources, materials, instructions, and tools are available to fulfil the service contract
  • Ensure a continuous improvement and learning culture that drives standardisation, learning from and sharing with other sites and Regions
  • Seek to deliver the best possible customer experience whilst protecting SGRE and maximising opportunities
     

What You Need To Make a Difference
 

  • Proven experience within an operational role, ideally in a large and complex environment where you have delivered against objectives and targets
  • Track record of building and sustaining motivated and committed teams, ideally delivered in a safety-critical environment
  • Proven experience establishing customer relationships and navigating a complex organisation to ensure a highly positive customer experience
  • Detailed understanding of standard safety, financial and operational performance metrics and how to influence them
  • Product technical knowledge of wind turbines is an advantage
