Description:
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is seeking a Shop Manager to provide continuous cover and support throughout the Rennie Grove Peace shop network. This role will also involve working on specific retail projects as needed.
As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing the shop, maximizing sales and profitability, and leading a team of volunteers. You will play a crucial role in representing Rennie Grove Peace in the community, inspiring excellence in customer service, and ensuring smooth retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shop Management: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the shop, in line with senior management guidance.
- Sales & Profitability: Drive sales growth and manage resources to optimize profitability.
- Volunteer Team Development: Recruit, train, and motivate a team of shop volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide and maintain high standards of customer care to ensure a welcoming shopping experience.
- Community Engagement: Serve as a brand ambassador for Rennie Grove Peace, strengthening relationships with local supporters and promoting the charity's mission.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail management or charity shop operations is desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and volunteer coordination.
- Ability to drive sales performance and improve shop profitability.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- Passion for charity work and community engagement.
Working Hours & Location:
- Hours: 22.5 hours per week (part-time).
- Location: Rennie Grove Peace Shops across the Bucks locality.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: £1,997 per month (pro rata from £23,970 per annum).
- Pension Scheme: Up to 7% employer contribution with a minimum 4% employee contribution.
