Drive SSE's SHE strategy, support its day-to-day delivery and provide assurance so that SSE operates to keep people, the environment, and assets safe and healthy.
Establishing, and communicating appropriate operational standards and processes, and ensuring communications and training are consistent to ensure the Business SHE risks are appropriately controlled.
Build and maintain firm relationships with the SSE Smart Buildings Senior Management Team and with key stakeholders including Regulatory Authorities Customers, Client and Site Operational teams.

NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate or relevant equivalent and be able to demonstrate practice of knowledge through experience
Sound knowledge and application of Health & Safety legislation, in particular Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
Technical Member (TechIOSH) of IOSH or equivalent professional body, preferable working towards Chartered status
Ability to identify and analyse complex technical issues and understand risks in order to provide appropriate solutions
