Senior User Interaction Designer

Are you passionate about creating seamless user experiences that captivate and delight? The University of Chester’s Informatics Centre is seeking applications for the role of Senior User Interaction Designer with a focus on Frontend Development to join our vibrant team.

The Informatics Centre is a software development team based within the School of Computer and Engineering Sciences. They specialise in bespoke web application development for both internal and external clients.

You will undertake UI/UX development work for internal and external stakeholders. You will have experience using UI design software such as Figma, Sketch etc. You will also contribute to the frontend development of projects with the wider team using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as Angular.
The successful applicant will hold a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a user experience or design role.

As part of knowledge exchange, the team mentor students on an Experiential Learning module where second year students work in teams on a collaborative placement.
