With a commitment to customer service excellence and a passion for science and engineering, the Senior Technical Specialist (Digital Systems Teaching) will provide an agile technical support service to staff and students to support teaching, research and professional services. • Working closely with staff in the Faculty of Science and Engineering to ensure the effective maintenance, security and reliability of specialist computer software and hardware systems for teaching.
• Manage a team of Technical Specialists responsible for supporting technical aspects of teaching Computer Science and related disciplines.
• Supporting academic staff and students using specialist hardware or software, including training and advising users where appropriate, including during scheduled workshops and laboratories.
• Working with senior staff to design and futureproof IT requirements and liaising with IT Services and Research IT as appropriate.
