Senior Technical Accountant

Description:

The role will focus on the complex aspects of accounting such as IFRS conversions, implementation of new standards, flotation support work and providing support with the valuations of share-based payments and intangible assets. As part of the role as Senior Technical Accountant you will be working to prepare more complex annual statutory accounts for clients and assisting junior members of the team. Your role also includes offering advice on best practice and recommendations for director or partner review.

Role Requirements -

Reviewing of more complex UK GAAP and IFRS GAAP accounts and consolidations.

Leading IFRS conversions on behalf of clients

Drafting responses to technical accounting queries from clients

Reviewing valuations work and acquisition accounting.

Provide support to clients from an accounting perspective

Involvement in training and the development of more junior team members.

Person Requirements -

ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE with a full working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP having worked as a senior accountant in a UK based accounting firm.

Strong attention to detail and be comfortable rectifying queries as soon as they are brought to your attention.

Previous experience of supporting/mentoring junior members of staff would be highly advantageous.

Confident communicator and passionate about customer service and enhancing or developing client relationships.
