Senior Software Developer

As a Senior Developer at Propel Tech, you'll work on a combination of new and existing client systems. You might be diving into existing code bases, enhancing them with your clean, efficient code, or using your problem-solving skills to assess requirements and craft new and innovative software solutions. Either way you'll be providing vital support and services that drive business success for our clients.

To excel in this role, you should have;
 

• Demonstratable software development experience, including developing, and supporting applications using C# and .NET, as well as front end technologies such as Angular, React or Vue.js.
• Experience of being client facing in a consultancy environment and/or of supporting multiple applications simultaneously.
• Experience working in a help/support desk environment would also be advantageous.
• Knowledge of web service development such as WCF or Web API.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework.
• Experience working with different SQL environments, such as MS SQL, My SQL & PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding and experience of software development methodologies, frameworks, version control systems (e.g., Git), and issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira).
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate technical challenges.
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Skills and experience in desktop application development using Winforms and/or WPF is highly desirable for this role.
• Skills and experience in other programming languages, development technologies and frameworks, particularly MVC, Javascript, Node.js, Bootstrap would be advantageous, as would experience of configuring & hosting websites.
• An understanding of software development principles such as SOLID, KISS & DRY would be advantageous.
