Role Description:

  • Preparing cost plans for construction projects, including concept design and design development
  • Creating tender documents, such as bills of quantities, rates, or schedules
  • Preparing the budget for construction documentation, such as architectural and engineering plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Conducting preliminary research into construction and budget details to help the quantity surveyor make informed evaluations
  • Monitoring actual expenses against budget plans while reporting significant price fluctuations and preparing monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Preparing replacement costs and tax depreciation schedules at the end of the project for the client's insurance policy

 

Requirements:

  • Italian language skills would be preferred but are not mandatory
  • Hold a Quantity Surveying degree or similar
  • 3 or more years' Quantity Surveying experience
  • Strong experience of high end residential projects required
  • Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Membership of a chartered institute (or working towards) in the construction industry (e.g. RICS, CIBSE, CIOB)
  • Track record of successful project budgetary management cost reporting and cost control through the project lifecycle on projects of varying sizes and complexity-depth knowledge of construction contract management including standard forms of contract and procurement options
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can easily work autonomously & as part of a team.
