Role Description:
Preparing cost plans for construction projects, including concept design and design development
Creating tender documents, such as bills of quantities, rates, or schedules
Preparing the budget for construction documentation, such as architectural and engineering plans, drawings, and specifications
Conducting preliminary research into construction and budget details to help the quantity surveyor make informed evaluations
Monitoring actual expenses against budget plans while reporting significant price fluctuations and preparing monthly cash flow forecasts
Preparing replacement costs and tax depreciation schedules at the end of the project for the client's insurance policy
Requirements:
Italian language skills would be preferred but are not mandatory
Hold a Quantity Surveying degree or similar
3 or more years' Quantity Surveying experience
Strong experience of high end residential projects required
Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Membership of a chartered institute (or working towards) in the construction industry (e.g. RICS, CIBSE, CIOB)
Track record of successful project budgetary management cost reporting and cost control through the project lifecycle on projects of varying sizes and complexity-depth knowledge of construction contract management including standard forms of contract and procurement options
