Description:
Entrust is seeking a Senior Property Surveyor to join their team, with a key focus on working with clients in the education sector to manage planned repairs, breakdown repairs, and improvement/renewal schemes. This is a highly varied role covering a broad spectrum of public sector properties, including schools, academies, and some swimming pools. The role offers career progression and exposure to high-profile clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake planned maintenance programmes, including design and specification of projects, issuing orders, supervising work on site, and verifying invoices for payment.
- Provide routine advice and support to schools and other properties on day-to-day and planned maintenance repairs.
- Diagnose and manage repair and maintenance works for buildings, ensuring efficient and timely completion.
- Project management and supervision of maintenance and minor improvement works while liaising with site representatives.
- Ensure works are carried out within approved budgets and adhere to health and safety procedures, particularly the CDM 2015 regulations.
- Liaise with Head Teachers and property managers to deliver building maintenance services.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum HNC / HND in Building Studies or equivalent qualification (or equivalent trade qualifications with supervisory experience).
- Experience in managing building maintenance projects, working to budgets and deadlines.
- Experience in preparing building specifications/drawings (AutoCAD Lt preferred).
- Ability to diagnose building defects, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with relevant parties.
- Knowledge of building regulations and statutory requirements related to minor improvement projects.
- Knowledge of engineering services in building maintenance (mechanical, electrical, heating, lighting, gas, alarms, water services) is desirable.
- Full driving license.
- DBS enhanced disclosure will be required.
