VDW are a well-established soft landscaping company working for some of the largest construction companies in the UK for over 36 years. Working from our depots in Berkshire and West Sussex we hold contracts along the South coast, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Sussex. VDW Landscapes are committed to delivering high-quality projects and whilst ensuring we meet the highest health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Take ownership of soft landscaping projects, from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Health and Safety: Maintain the highest Health and Safety standards across all projects and report any incidents promptly.

Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for each project, ensuring cost control and profitability.

Scheduling: Develop and maintain work schedules and forecasts, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Team Leadership: Lead, train and motivate the operations team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are exceeded.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Documentation: Keep thorough project records, including daily reports, progress reports, health and safety reports and budget updates.

Requirements:

SMSTS Certification: Valid Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.

Clean Driving License: A valid, clean driving license to travel to project sites.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in soft landscaping operations within the construction sector.

Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Budgeting: Proficient in building budgets and managing project costs.

Health and Safety: Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and practices.

Reporting: Ability to provide accurate and timely project status reports.

Teamwork: Excellent leadership and team management skills.
