Due the nature of the role we can accept UK Nationals only, who must hold or be prepared to undergo a security check to SC level and be required to be onsite full time.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Networks Engineers provide level 3 support working on incidents, changes and projects with a wide range of networking and /or voice technologies and infrastructure. They also support engineers at levels 1 and 2.

Key tasks include:
 

• Analyses and resolves incidents occurring on network/voice infrastructure
• Analyses standard and some complex change requests on network/voice infrastructure, develop plans, implement and test.
• Analyses problems on network/voice infrastructure, developing and implementing long-term solutions
• Installs, upgrades, tests, audits, and documents network/voice infrastructure
• Implements, upgrades, populates and maintains a Network/Voice Management System
• Supports business continuity testing that involves network/voice infrastructure
• Advises customers, account teams, other technical teams, and management on matters relating to incidents, changes, and problems on network/voice infrastructure
• Provides on-call support on a rota basis as required
• Carries out field visits to customer remote locations as required
• Works within CGI and customer Data Centres.

• Security devices: Firewalls, IDS, IPS, UTM
• Wireless
• Proxy and DNS appliances
• Network Management Systems
• Implementation, Testing, Support, and Upgrade of the following Traditional and IP Telephony technologies with regard to voice :
• PABXs
• Mitel, Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft Lync
• Session Border Controllers
• Voice Management Systems
