Senior Media Analyst

 

Description:

Looking for a smart and confident Data and Analytics practitioner that is responsible for the utilization of large-scale datasets and data visualization. A stakeholder of Cloud infrastructure and its performance, with a focus on data quality, analytics, reporting and most importantly compliance. Able to strike a balance between in-depth media data and database knowledge, while also coming up with creative analytical solutions. AWS expertise desirable and working with large complex datasets, suggesting new data sources and approaches are beneficial.

Your team is the holder of a vast database of media performance data which has a lot of potential for new and interesting reporting. Data quality checks are paramount here, and you’ll continue to improve systems and processes already put in place for a range of reporting. Must also be confident in explaining data options in simple terms, to aid creation of new reports and analysis while ensuring the highest data quality standards.

Can deliver high quality and efficient approach across analytics, reporting, data infrastructure and governance. Must be autonomous and able to show progress to management.

The ability to collaborate and simplify complex solutions is crucial for the success of this role as is the ability to prioritise initiatives that drive most value and impact.

Qualities & Experience
 

  • Bachelors and or Master in Statistics or relevant data and analytics subject areas
  • Digital Media Analytics background with data visualization a must e.g Tableau, Power BI, Datorama etc.
  • Experience with managing large sets of client data for analytics and reporting
     

Key responsibilities
 

  • Data visualization design and implementation
  • Management of data infrastructure and data engineering
  • Designing approaches for scalable analytics and measurement solutions for data quality
     

Stakeholder Management
 

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple work streams
  • Experienced managing expectations with several stakeholders at once
  • Working closely with leadership on cross discipline projects
  • At ease working to quick turn around times and enjoys a fast pace environment
  • Understands & delivers against a bigger picture strategy whilst delivering the day to day
     

Technical knowledge
 

  • High Competency in SQL and managing multiple large data sets and sources a MUST
  • Data Visualisation in Tableau for our core analytics and reporting function a MUST
  • Confident in an AWS environment (S3, Redshift, RDS)
  • Code agnostic - hands-on confident in R and/or Python will be highly beneficial
  • Mar-tech or performance background - understanding platforms such as Web analytics, DSPs or Adservers will be beneficial
  • Proven analytics background – evidence running medium to large analytics projects
  • International experience would be a significant advantage but not a prerequisite
