Description:
Our Development Optimization department at RWE Renewables Onshore & PV Europe & Australia (OPEA) is responsible for developing optimization opportunities for projects such as innovative technologies and services and making them ready for development at scale across all relevant markets.
We are looking for a Senior Manager Development Optimization (f/m/d) to drive the optimization of our project development as well as the development of innovative service offers and shape tomorrow’s green energy landscape in Europe and Australia with us.
Your tasks
- Lead several strategic optimization initiatives and development of innovative service programs for our wind, PV and battery storage projects in development stage in all 10 European countries and Australia
- Closely interact with the onshore development teams across Europe to identify needs, lead the development of the services or optimization initiatives involving experts across multiple departments (e.g., commercial, legal, engineering, etc.), co-lead first implementations
- Drive the transfer of new services developed or optimizations achieved in one country to all relevant markets, closely involving development leaders and all relevant OPEA and RWE Group functions
- Lead the governance for a portfolio of service offerings to ensure the balance between market needs and company complexities/ costs in continuous, close exchange with the development leadership teams across all relevant countries
- Manage internal and external key stakeholders, including key executives up to Board level
- Manage the set-up, organization and maintenance of the knowledge hub for service offerings and potentially further cross-country development topics
- Guide Junior Managers when jointly working on large-scale projects
- Represent RWE Renewables OPEA on development optimization related topics at events, social networks, relevant authorities and institutions
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree in energy technology, engineering, business administration, renewable energy, science or related subject
- Several years (at least 6 years) of professional experience in project management – ideally in renewables development – gained in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Greece or the United Kingdom
- Solid experience in service offerings like project partnerships, participation opportunities, sponsoring etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical, economic and legal contexts in the development of onshore Renewables projects
- Very good analytical skills
- Solution oriented and independent working style
- Excellent team-player with very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English with other languages (out of Italian, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Swedish, Dutch) being a plus
- Willingness to travel on regular basis
