Description:

We are working with the Financial Services Arm of a Tier 1 organisation creating a Centre of Excellence dedicated to providing strategic advice to Board stakeholders on the impact of Financial Instruments and other IFRSs to their expansion plans.

You will be involved in issuing guidance and tools, as well as through facilitating engagement with subject-matter and technical experts and responding to ad-hoc queries.

The objective of this function is to provide robust, thorough, and accurate advise on the impact of the above standards in fast-paced and evolving environments .

The organisation's multibillion portfolio includes balances relating to defined benefit pension schemes or complex financial instruments.

This will include:

Developing tools and workflows which help auditors assess the risk of material misstatements, and guide auditors to perform audit procedures to appropriately address those risks.

Giving consultation through which teams can seek advise on the financial reporting or audit of financial instruments.

Investing in their people (and the development of their subject matter expertise) and deploying our people on a targeted basis into the Financial Advisory Service Line to undertake specific financial instruments related IFRS and Financial Instrument engagements.

You will be a Top 30 Senior Audit Manager role with a background in leading teams and engagements across clients in any area of Financial Services

Exceptional audit project management skills, delivering work across a range of clients and balancing both long-term and short- term priorities.

Strong relationship management and influencing skills.

The post holder will own the day-to-day relationship with our external partners, provide advice to engagement partners, and influence at all levels of our FA Service Line to ensure that the COE maximised its impact on audit quality.

Strong people management skills including the ability to lead, develop and motivate diverse teams and support all colleagues to deliver great work and achieve their potential.
