Description:
We are working with a rapidly-growing global payments business and innovator in open banking solutions.
This is one of the major players in an expanding and cutting-edge space in modern financial services, on a mission to open up banking and payments services across the globe with its state-of-the-art proprietary platform.
The business offers a variety of services via a framework underpinned by an international network of licences, catering to clients large and small, to offer unique, targeted, cross-border payment solutions.
This is your chance to join a talented and ambitious team, partnering closely with the business and reporting to the Group General Counsel.
This role will encompass a whole range of in-house legal responsibilities, ranging from the drafting and negotiating of key international commercial contracts to overseeing the application for Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licences across Europe and you will become an essential contributor to the delivery of the Group’s strategy.
The team is looking for a skilled in-house lawyer, keen to learn and grow in a fast-moving space and able to work autonomously on a broad mixture of challenges.
To be suitable for this role, you should have significant post-qualification experience and ideally have worked in a commercial role as part of an in-house legal team in a financial services environment. You must also have payments experience and be familiar with the processes around the licences for Electronic Money Institutions, IBANs and all the associated regulations.
