Description:
The role will include supporting third party systems development, solutions delivery / change, managing IT operational escalations when required and defining high level requirements / project objectives. This role incorporates the need to manage the overall company programme plan across other non-IT departments, but primarily the projects will be technology focussed. The role holder should be comfortable in building relationships at a senior level, with technical people, managing an overall programme plan and having hands on project management assignments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining and supporting the development of the existing project management methodology.
- Training and supporting team members in delivering project actions and outcomes.
- Reporting on project/programme progress, issues, change, risk, timescales, and financial performance.
- Ensuring that project outcomes can and are measured after projects complete.
- Ensuring the successful transition of development projects into the operational environment.
- Maintaining all project management documentation and supporting the prioritisation process.
- Chairing project and programme management meetings and updates.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on progress, actions, issues, and other project elements.
- Playing a vital part in how quality Project Delivery supports the organisation moving forwards.
- Managing resources and delivery through indirect team management (matrix management).
Service Delivery:
- Strong communication and organisation skills, the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and varied workload.
- Experience of a range of change initiatives with involvement in delivering the changes within a functional unit.
- Strong project experience in IT systems background around business applications (Payroll, ERP, Financials)
- Use recognised Project Management tools and techniques for sound management, communicating, reporting, and tracking. PRINCE2, Agile frameworks.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Full experience of Project Lifecycle management using a recognised framework on simultaneous projects.
- Proven track record of building internal and external relationships.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Relevant Project Management experience implementing a range of different projects including systems developments/implementations, regulatory changes, business development initiatives and efficiency projects.
- Experience of implementing appropriate Project Management processes and procedures and developing and influencing a project management capability.
- A proven and quantifiable track record of delivering well executed, managed and cost-effective projects.
- A commercially focused attitude and be able to build and maintain relationships with Support Office, operations, and suppliers.
- A flexible approach to work to ensure that the job gets done.
- Must be energetic, self-motivated, and driven to succeed. The ability to multi-task, prioritise and work at pace are key to this role.
