We're looking for a Senior Formulation Scientist to join a cutting-edge biotech company in Cambridge that’s revolutionising drug delivery with innovative nanomedicine technologies. You’ll play a pivotal role in advancing their research and development, ensuring high-quality and reproducible results.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and Validate Formulations: Conduct laboratory activities to support the development and validation of nanoparticle formulations, ensuring precision and reproducibility.
- Innovative Research: Design and execute state-of-the-art experiments and assays to benchmark their PolyNaut technology.
- Data Analysis and Presentation: Analyse and interpret complex scientific data, perform statistical analysis, visualize data, and present findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including biology, bioinformatics, and chemistry.
- Scientific Communication: Write clear and engaging scientific content for manuscripts, regulatory documents, and technical reports.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date on the latest scientific advancements and industry trends in nanomedicine and polymer chemistry.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards in research involving human samples.
Do you have a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry? Are you experienced in nanoparticle formulation design and characterisation techniques?
Ideal Qualifications
- Expertise in Nanoparticle Formulation: Deep understanding of physicochemical properties related to nanoparticle formulation design and process development.
- Laboratory Techniques: Proficiency in techniques such as nanoparticle tracking analysis, dynamic and electrophoretic light scattering, transmission electron microscopy, and high-performance liquid chromatography.
- Analytical Skills: Experience with analytical methodologies for genetic materials quantification and integrity analysis.
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex scientific data to both expert and non-expert audiences.
