Description:
The Senior Finance Analyst, ICS P&L Management, will be based in London and report to the Manager of ICS P&L Management. This is a highly visible role with very regular exposure to Senior Leadership. The Senior Finance Analyst will act as a key point of contact with Finance Decision Science (FDS) and Finance Technologies (FODL team) as well as partner with the market Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Investment Optimization (IO), ICS Centre of Excellence Finance, and Product teams to deliver ICS wide data insights. The role is a fantastic opportunity to lead a wide range of analytics projects spanning across multiple markets, and represent Finance in high-priority strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical abilities, and a passion for leveraging big data to enhance financial strategies.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Act as a Finance point of contact on ICS wide analytical projects such as Customer-Level Profitability.
- Design and maintain financial reporting dashboards, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, providing key stakeholders with timely and accurate financial information and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, IT professionals, and business stakeholders, to identify key financial metrics and develop predictive models to drive profitability and growth.
- Develop and execute financial models and analysis, leveraging big data to drive business insights and support decision-making processes; making recommendations to improve financial performance, optimize resource allocation, and support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and support on market, product and cardmember analyses on emerging trends and P&L dynamics, highlighting risks and opportunities, and helping drive the growth of the International Card Services business.
- Act as the ICS point of contact for Cornerstone data governance, partnering with FODL, and technical development teams across finance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in big data analytics and financial management, incorporating innovative approaches into existing processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in implementing and utilizing big data analytics tools and platforms (e.g. Cornerstone, Hive, dBeaver, SQL, Tableau, PowerBi etc.) to extract key data and drive financial insights and decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas simply.
- Proven track record of working independently under pressure, multi-tasking and prioritising effectively.
- Ability to collaborate, influence and build strong relationships across groups, working in a complex and multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, PPT and TM1.
- Working knowledge of card economics, financial margins and their levers in ICS, across ICS segments.
