Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Support the delivery of the annual Risk Management plan.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across a number of key areas within the business and liaise with them to facilitate the following Risk Management processes:
- Top risks reporting;
- Risk and control assessments;
- Risk appetite monitoring;
- Key risk indicator monitoring;
- Risk incident identification and management;
- Emerging risk analysis;
- Risk action tracking.
- Assist in the guardianship of the Risk Register, including control effectiveness, and all other documentation relating to the Risk Management Framework.
- Work with a range of risk, actuarial and finance professionals across Talbot to assist in the production of the Own Risk and Solvency Report.
- Work collaboratively with senior members of the Risk Management team to deliver risk assessments and deep dive reviews as required.
- Contribute to drafting risk management reports for internal Committees and Boards.
- Actively liaise with key Talbot business areas to establish, support and maintain business relationships and organisational effectiveness.
- Keep up to date with Risk Management theory and make recommendations for practical application in Talbot as relevant.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 3+ years risk management experience gained in the financial services industry
- Insurance experience - in-house, from a consultancy firm or from a regulator
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to meet key deadlines
- Proactive with the ability to work independently and drive things forward
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business and manage stakeholders effectively
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Relevant professional qualification relating to Insurance or Risk Management desirable
