Description:
As Senior Embedded Systems Engineer, you'll be the cornerstone of our firmware development efforts. You'll be entrusted with refining firmware, enhancing PCB designs, and contributing to the overall reliability and performance of our devices. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll also work directly with our CEO and alongside external partners, bridging the gap between hardware and software to deliver exceptional product quality.
Your key responsibilities would include:
· Optimising and developing firmware for our devices, initally primarily using C++ within the Arduino framework but later on in C.
· Contributing to PCB design for enhanced functionality and integration with our biofeedback technology.
· Collaborating with partners and team members to align firmware development with regulatory standards and product requirements.
Your Ideal Profile:
· A BSc in Computer Science or similar is required, MSc or PhD preferred.
· Proven expertise in C++ / C programming and the Arduino framework.
· Hands-on experience with a multitude of microcontrollers.
· Solid understanding of PCB testing, troubleshooting, and improvement.
· Knowledge of deploying machine learning algorithms on microprocessors is highly desirable.
· Previous experience in the medical device sector and understanding of regulatory compliance (such as ISO 13485) would be a significant asset.
· Practical experience with bio impedance measurement technologies (EEG, EMG, ECG) is a plus.
· Experience with HAL framework is a big plus.
· Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
· Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
