Senior Ec&i Engineer

As an Senior EC&I Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role sits within our Cavendish Nuclear business, from decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities, through supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, to supporting the operation and build of nuclear power plants, our role in Cavendish Nuclear is to clean up the nuclear legacy and create a world where nuclear plays a key contribution in protecting our nation, ensuring security of energy supply and meeting our net zero commitments.

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience across our projects.

Key duties:
 

• Promote effective cooperation across Engineering and other functional teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
• Interface with customers and supply chain on design issues, assisting with procurement specifications to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied to all engineering and technical activities.
• Contribute to Product Safety Assessment and process improvement within the operational and design lifecycle, aiming for continuous quality and efficiency improvements.
• Provide a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the Project Manager in planning, control, and delivery of tasks and projects.
• Produce, review, and verify technical outputs, including calculations, analyses, technical reports, and specifications, making engineering decisions within delegated authority.
